Context

Banco Bradesco, a Brazilian financial services company, previously delved into the VR space and the Metaverse, offering various financial products and services, including currency conversion, credit cards, digital bank accounts, and credit for gaming-related purchases. Recently, they identified three key initiatives during an internal hackathon: an immersive investment experience for clients, a habitat's immersive platform, and the Bradesco Digital Wallet, designed for secure transactions within the Metaverse for kids and their parents. This current project aims to position Bradesco within the future of the internet (WEB3), fostering innovative customer interaction models and monetization strategies for their products and services.

Challenges

Considering my limited understanding of Web3, my primary challenge is to grasp its fundamental concepts and become acquainted with Bradesco's Web3 initiatives. It's crucial to understand Bradesco's overarching objectives and develop opportunities that align with their broader vision.

Objective

Discover and leverage emerging trends within the Web3 ecosystem to identify features, services, or products that Bradesco can offer to enhance the user experience for its customers while generating revenue.

Outcome

The project yielded a refined set of experience concepts for Bradesco, drawing from comprehensive research on Web3 technologies, Fintech trends, and emerging startups. Through collaborative discussions, we identified key opportunities for banking services and streamlined these into strategic proposals for the company's future growth.

OOPS!

Due to NDA, I am unable to share specific details about my project, but I would like to provide some quick insights and an overview of the process below. Please feel free to reach out for further information!

Takeaways

Be Adaptive and Agile
From this experience, I learned the importance of being adaptive and agile. In my first exposure to service design in the Web3 space and banking, we began with open brainstorming across various domains. However, I quickly realized that flexibility and agility were crucial as we needed to adjust and pivot rapidly in response to the ever-evolving landscape of technology and financial services. This project taught me the value of staying nimble and open to change to effectively address new opportunities and challenges.
Embracing Pivoting in Innovation
Another takeaway from this experience was understanding that pivoting is an essential aspect of the innovation process. Rather than fixating on my own ideas, I learned the importance of actively seeking and incorporating feedback from stakeholders. The feedback I received served as a guide for me to refine concepts that aligned with Bradesco's objectives and customer preferences. This experience highlighted the importance of being flexible and adaptable, showing me that making adjustments and iterations are crucial in developing impactful and relevant solutions.
